AlternaTV launches Fix&Foxi childrens channel in the Americas
AlternaTV and Your Family Entertainment AG are bringing the iconic comic duo of Fix&Fox, the zany animated twin brother foxes known to European fans, to television audiences in the U.S. and Latin America. AlternaTV will offer the new Fix&Foxi 24-hour childrens animation and live action entertainment programming service to its carriage partners in 25 countries -spanning from Chile to Canada- as a linear channel, for video on demand (VOD), and as an app for iPads and mobile devices. The programming feeds, available through the AlternaTV satellite platform, will offer both English and Spanish-language programming feeds beginning early 2015.We are very excited that Your Family Entertainment, the rights holder to the iconic cartoon characters created by the legendary German artist and publisher Rolf Kauka, has selected AlternaTV as its distribution partner for the Fix&Foxi childrens channel said AlternaTV CEO, Aymeric Genty.Dr. Stefan Piëch, CEO of Your Family Entertainment, said: We are very impressed with AlternaTVs approach to distribution, seeking myriad platform options which appear as natural extensions of the content and Fix&Foxi brand identity. Working in collaboration with AlternaTV, Your Family Entertainments EVP of International Channels Paul Robinson will aid AlternaTV in the creation and rollout of the Fix&Foxi channel. Hosted by Fix&Foxi, the channel includes other Kauka characters and animated series, including Altair in Starland, RiC the Raven, Mission Odyssey (Misión Odisea), Urmel, Bobs Beach and Shadow of the Elves will also be programmed on the Fix&Foxi channel.
